C.Chem. M.I.Chem.C., F.Prof. B.T.M., F.I.Manf., F.I.M.S., FSMA, FRSA
Prof. Eugene de Silva pioneered the first ever structured
educational system in martial arts in 1994. He established the Society of
Martial Arts (www.societyofmartialarts.org ) which is now a registered charity
and the only authoritative educational regulatory body in martial arts with
branches all over the world. He established the IISER in 2000 to bring about a
change in the traditional educational system. He was inducted to Hall of Fame in
year 2001 in Florida. He is a biographee in Who's Who in the World since 1998. He
secured an International Patent for Graphite Lead Manufacturing in 1988. He is a
regular invited speaker, panellist and an examiner in martial arts, sports
science, intelligence and science discussions at conferences and public
discussions. He was a Professor/Affiliated Faculty Member at Montana State
University, USA, Honorary Research Fellow at Centre for Defence and International
Security Studies at University of Lancaster, UK. He is the Director - International
Relations at Institute for Democracy and Leadership, Director - Virginia
Research Institute, and C.E.O. of National Accrediting Commission for Martial Arts,
U.S.A. His current interests are race relations in
education, intelligence and international security studies and plasma coatings
methods. He has
students all over the world conducting research in a range of fields. His former
students are now acknowledged authorities in their respective fields. He is the
Chairman of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Martial Arts
Research, and International Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies and the Editor of the Journal of Intelligence, Security and Terrorism
Studies.
